This is a facility, which can be used to pay your Mobitel bills via SMS by debiting your HSBC credit card.
All holders of an HSBC credit card (Personal & Corporate card holders) and a phone from Mobitel.
Note : Mobitel customers with a Corporate package are not eligible for this service.

Customers could register with only one credit card for a particular mobile number.
Note: If there is more than one request (i.e. made with several card numbers) the latest card would be resisted for this service.
They can enroll by simply calling on 4 4722 77.
Cardholder simply has to provide the following details to any of our Customer Service Representatives (CSR) in order to get enrolled for this facility.
1. Credit Card Number to be debited
2. Mobitel Mobile Number which needs to be enrolled for this facility
Note: Customer needn’t give mobile number details of third party mobiles when enrolling for this service.
The customer would receive a welcome message and his/her PIN by way of an SMS upon successful enrollment.
Cardholder can pay his/her bill or any third party bill through this service. Customer should follow the below mentioned steps when performing payments via this system.
To pay your own bill
- Go to My Mobitel Menu on mobile phone
- Go to Financial category and then
- Go to HSBC
- Click on BillPay Own (for post paid owner) or click on Reload Own (for pre paid owner)
- Enter the Amount and Send
To pay a 3rd Party Bill
- Follow the first three steps mentioned above and then
- Click on BillPay Others (for Post paid 3rd party) or click on Reload Others (for Pre paid 3rd party)
- Enter the PIN then
- Enter the Recipients Mobile number and
- Finally enter the Amount and Send
Pre-paid - LKR1,000/- per transaction and
Post paid - LKR15,000/- per transaction.

The SMS will be something similar to the following
"Your SMS Banking facility with HSBC will be terminated due to expiration of the Credit card in two weeks. Should you require to renew this facility, please forward your new card details by calling HSBC on 4 4722 77".
