Electronic DC Advising (EDCA) is a new and unique service rendered by HSBC in Sri Lanka. It allows you to receive a full copy of your Documentary Credits (DCs) and amendments via e-mail immediately upon our receipt from the issuing bank.

Please note that the EDCA facility is only available for DCs issued via the SWIFT network.

The e-mail copy of DC is not a negotiable instrument but it enables you to streamline your operations and speed up the business cycle. By earlier advising of the text of DCs in your favour, you can soon start your export process and prepare the related documents, keep a step ahead of your competitors and shorten your delivery times.

To enjoy this service, all you need is an export account and to insist that your DCs are advised through HSBC. You can then choose the most suitable e-mail address in your company to receive the e-mail advice plus DC copy. Our EDCA service is completely FREE.
