Signature cardholders would be eligible to a free companion air ticket in the event they use their cards consecutively for 12 months making a minimum spend as follows;

  • LKR150,000 spend for 12 consecutive months*
    An air ticket on economy class to India (Chennai / Bangalore) / Singapore / Dubai / Maldives / Malaysia / Bangkok / Jakarta
  • LKR300,000 spend for 12 consecutive months*
    An air ticket on economy class to London / Paris / Kenya / USA (New York) / South Africa (Johannesburg) / Australia (Mebourne) / New Zealand / (Auckland) / Hongkong / China (Beijing)

*12 consecutive months should be from the date of activation.

Terms and Conditions

1.

The Free Companion Ticket offer (hereinafter referred to as the 'Offer') of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (the "Bank") is open to all HSBC Visa Signature Credit Cardholders (hereinafter referred to as the 'Cardholder/s'),currently residing in Sri Lanka.

Under the Offer, the Cardholder shall upon purchasing an air ticket from any one of our partner airlines (Cathay Pacific/ Kingfisher Airlines / SriLankan Airlines / Qatar Airways / Singapore Airlines) to any one destination set out in Clauses 2.1 or 2.2 hereto, become eligible for a free companion air ticket as set out hereto ("Air Ticket/s"), when he/she uses the credit card consecutively for a period of 12 months from the date of activation (the card activation should be done by 31 December 2012) by making a minimum spend as follows;

2.1 Sri Lankan Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Only (LKR150,000) spend for twelve (12) consecutive months - The Cardholder shall be eligible for a companion air ticket to any one destination set out hereto, to the value of Sri Lankan Rupees Forty Thousand Only (LKR40,000) [Air Tickets to India (Chennai / Bangalore)/ Singapore / Dubai / Maldives / Malaysia / Bangkok / Jakarta]
2.2 Sri Lankan Rupees Three Hundred Thousand (LKR300,000) spend for twelve (12) consecutive months - The Cardholder shall be eligible for a companion air ticket to any one destination set out hereto, to the value of Sri Lankan Rupees Hundred Thousand (LKR100,000) [Air Tickets to London / Paris / Kenya / USA (New York) / South Africa (Johannesburg) / Australia (Mebourne) / New Zealand (Auckland) / Hongkong / China (Beijing)]

The Offer is valid only on the total spend of the primary (main) Cardholder.

The Cardholders credit card accounts should be regular with no over due payments at the time of qualifying for the Offer.

Air Tickets to the qualifying Cardholders shall be awarded within two calendar months upon completing the spend tiers as referred to in Clause 2 above.

Travel should be completed within 3 months from the date of the Air Ticket.

The Bank reserves the right to offer air tickets from any partner airline at its sole discretion.

The return Air Ticket shall be issued on economy class and this shall not include any hotel stays / accommodation.

The Bank reserves the right to modify, change or withdraw all or any of the rules and terms and conditions including the terms and conditions herein contained applicable to the Offer at any time.

Nothing herein amounts to a commitment or representation by the Bank to provide similar Offers in the future.

In the event of any dispute regarding any of the terms and conditions contained herein, and/or in all matters relating to the Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final.

The Bank is not the supplier of the services under this Offer and shall not accept any liability, any warranty or make any representation about the quality of the said services.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
