HSBC Sri Lanka wins Global Finance's Best Consumer Internet Bank Award for Sri Lanka for the sixth consecutive year

HSBC Sri Lanka has won the Global Finance 2011 Best Consumer Internet Bank Award for Sri Lanka for the sixth consecutive year. The continuous developments and identifying customer needs and delivering excellent service have contributed towards this tremendous achievement.

In Global Finance's 2011 World's Best Internet Banks competition for Asia, HSBC took the top awards for its consumer internet banking in Sri Lanka, Brunei and Hong Kong.

Winning banks were selected based on the following criteria: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, and web site design and functionality. Category winners, such as "best online cash management" were selected based on the relative strength and success of those web products and services.
