All HSBC Premier, HSBC Advance, HSBC Visa Signature, HSBC Visa Platinum credit card and HSBC World Corporate MasterCard cardholders who purchase their return air tickets on their credit card.
An HSBC credit cardholder may extend this travel insurance to his/her immediate family only when their respective return air tickets are charged to an HSBC credit card provided the cardholder is travelling with them. Immediate family comprises of the cardholder's legal spouse, unmarried children up to the age of 18 and in the event the child is an unmarried, full time student he/she can be included up to the age of 23.
No - on purchase of the return air ticket on your HSBC credit card you are automatically enrolled under this scheme.
For HSBC Premier, HSBC Advance, HSBC Visa Signature, HSBC Visa Platinum credit card and HSBC World Corporate MasterCard cardholders the age limit is 75 years.

The reason for the return air ticket is to ensure the credit cardholder returns to Sri Lanka. Those who will not be doing so (e.g. students, immigrants) are deemed as temporary residents in the relevant country and as such cannot be included for this benefit.
