Dialog SMS bill payment exclusively for HSBC credit cardholders

Sri Lanka's biggest communication service provider combines forces with the World's local bank to make life more convenient for all HSBC credit cardholders, no matter where they are! All you need is your HSBC credit card to pay your mobile phone bills and even those of your family and friends, you can even re-load your KIT connection.

Please call our 24-hour Customer Service hotline on 4 4722 00 in order to register for this service.*

OR

Submit the following documents to any Dialog branch.

  • Duly completed registration form - Available at all Dialog and HSBC branches.
  • Copy of NIC.
  • Copy of Credit Card (face only).
  • Letter of authority to confirm authorised use of connections issued to companies/firms/sole proprietorships.**

    * Registrations for Dialog corporate clients will not be available via HSBC Customer Service hotline.
    ** Applicable only for corporate clients of Dialog.

 

Once you have been registered

  • You will receive an SMS confirming your 6 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).
  • You will thereafter receive another SMS stating that your credit card has been registered for the service.
  • It will take 14 days to process requests.

How it works?

  • To make a Payment – type the following and send to 8888
    <HSBC> <Amount>
    i.e.: HSBC 1500
  • To Lock Payment Option – type the following and send to 8888
    <LOCK>
  • To Unlock Payment Option – type the following and send to 8888
    <UNLOCK> <space>NIC
    i.e.: UNLOCK 999999999V
  • To check your credit balance - Type the following and sent to 8888
    <CHKCRDT> <HSBC>
    (i.e.The credit balance here refers to the monthly payment cap of LKR5,000 per phone.
    eg: If you pay LKR4,000 per phone per month, your available credit balance will be LKR1,000)
  • Registration via completion of forms at Dialog Branches – If you have registered for the Dialog SMS Pay by completing a form at any Dialog branch, the above mentioned facilities can be used by you, but if you require to pay a third party bill via your phone then you can do so by using the following command and forwarding it to 8888.
    <HSBC> <Mobile No of Third Party> <Amount> <PIN>

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Post paid and pre paid maximum transaction amount is limited to LKR15,000 per billing cycle.
  • Registration forms are available at all Dialog and HSBC branches. The completed forms can be handed over to any Dialog branch.
